Vóden - Polskanitsa

Vóden presents the Polskanitsa concert on two little-known ancient instruments - the nyckelharpa and the hurdy-gurdy - with added touches of song and kavals.

The duo - sensitive and explosive - perform a traditional and composed repertoire, in line with their Scandinavian and Balkan influences.

Sounding like a single entity, sometimes like a thousand, the illusion is given by the melodies and chords that intertwine around all their strings, sometimes softly, sometimes energetically.

From Sweden to Turkey, from polska to kopanitsa, they share a passion for exploring folk music and the search for rhythm.

Concert with sound system, Polskanitsa is also capable of slipping into more intimate and totaly on acoustic settings.
